Zimbabwe’s 45th Independence Day celebrations took place at Hotel Grand in New Delhi on April 25, 2025, as the country continues its tradition of welcoming Indian friends of Zimbabwe and other diplomatic missions. The festivities and celebrations running brought together various people from all over the countrys to commemorate the nation’s journey and achievements.
The celebrations included various cultural performances by zimbabwean students who formed dance groups and enthralled the audience.
As the nation approaches this historic day, the event was memorable marking 45 years of Zimbabwean sovereignty and progress with presence of various diplomats in Delhi.
Ambassador Her Excellency Stella Nkomo, welcomed the delegation of the Indian Economic Trade Organization and the senior representation from the Ministry of External Affairs Govt of India.
The delegation from Kerala from the Zimbabwe India Trade Council was fully represented by the Indian businessmen in Zimbabwe including Mr. Baiju Kumar, Trade Commissioner of Namibia Hon. Ramesh and Trade Commissioner of Tanzania Hon. Vinayak Menon. The delegation presented the traditional Kerala Boat souvenir to the Ambassador of Zimbabwe.

Indian Economic Trade Organization with the Zimbabwe India Trade Council have established robust mechanisms in building people to people relations with Small medium enterprises between India and Zimbabwe. Various delegations are being hosted between the two countries.
