The event was graced by Her Excellency Ildjima Badda Mallot, Ambassador of the Republic of Chad to India, marking a significant step in strengthening ties between the two nations.
Opening the dialogue, the Ambassador highlighted the importance of deepening engagement between the two countries and welcomed the growing interest of Indian businesses in Chad. She noted,

India and Chad continue to strengthen their relationship through shared economic priorities and development cooperation. As India expands its engagement across Africa, Chad is increasingly being recognized as a strategic partner in Central Africa.
The country offers strong opportunities for Indian enterprises in sectors such as energy, agriculture and agro-processing, infrastructure development, mining, pharmaceuticals, and capacity-building services. With India’s expertise in scalable and technology-driven solutions, these sectors hold significant potential for collaboration.
Emphasizing the role of multilateral cooperation, Prof. A.V. Srinivasan, Chairman of the SCO Trade Council, stated:
“Engagements like these demonstrate how collaborative platforms can open new trade corridors and strengthen economic cooperation between regions.”
The United Diplomatic Council has played a consistent role in facilitating engagement between India and African nations, including Chad. The Bengaluru interaction served as a continuation of these efforts, bringing together policy leaders, business representatives, and institutional stakeholders under one platform.

One particularly significant area of discussion during the engagement was the transformative role of drones and emerging technologies across African nations, including Chad. As countries across the continent seek innovative solutions to developmental challenges, such technologies are increasingly being viewed as enablers of efficiency, connectivity, and growth.
The event concluded with a shared vision to enhance trade missions, facilitate business delegations, and identify actionable opportunities across sectors. The strong participation from both diplomatic and business communities highlighted the growing importance of India–Chad relations in the larger context of India’s engagement with Africa.
Concluding the engagement, Dr. Asif Iqbal, President of the United Diplomatic Council, stated:
“India and Chad share a natural synergy in their development journeys. Our role is to create platforms that convert this synergy into tangible partnerships, fostering growth, investment, and long-term cooperation between the two nations.”
