Bengaluru, 11 May 2025 — In a landmark celebration of visionary service and international cooperation, the Sri Paripoorna Sanathana International Wellness Centre was inaugurated on 11 May 2025, coinciding with the 14th anniversary of the Sri Paripoorna Sanathana Charitable Trust® (SPSCT). The event gathered eminent dignitaries, scholars, and healthcare leaders worldwide to reaffirm the Trust’s enduring mission: integrating tradition with modernity to deliver inclusive, accessible, and evidence-based holistic healthcare and education.

International Participation and Leadership
The inauguration was graced by an esteemed gathering of global leaders. Chief Guests included Mr. Ivanov Alexey Alexandrovich, Chief Patron of the Trust from Russia, and Mr. Thabang Linus Kholumo, High Commissioner of the Kingdom of Lesotho to South Africa. They were joined by Guests of Honour Dr. Waiel SH Awwad, Secretary General of the Indian Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IACCIA), and Dr. Asif Iqbal, Knowledge Partner of the Centre, and President of the Indian Economic Trade Organisation (IETO). Mr. Murthada MJ Ibrahim from Oman further added to the atmosphere of diplomatic solidarity and global cooperation.
The dignitaries inaugurated the state-of-the-art wellness facility, covering approximately 13,000 sq ft, and participated in deliberations on global healthcare integration, spiritual well-being, and sustainable development.

Foundational Vision and Philanthropic Legacy
As articulated by the Chief Patron and trustees, Sri Paripoorna Sanathana Charitable Trust was founded in 2012 with a deep philanthropic vision: to provide comprehensive welfare services—including shelter, education, and healthcare—to the elderly, differently-abled, and mentally challenged individuals, entirely free of cost. Over the years, the Trust has emerged as a beacon of holistic service, dedicated to uplifting communities through sustainable development, spiritual enrichment, and traditional healthcare.
This vision has taken concrete form under the leadership of Prof. Dr. A.V. Srinivasan, Founder-Chairman of SPSCT. From distributing school supplies and scholarships to organising free medical camps and supporting women’s empowerment and water access projects in rural areas, the Trust’s humanitarian outreach continues to grow across Karnataka and beyond.
Research, Innovation, and Global Partnerships
The event also showcased the Trust’s cutting-edge contributions to research and innovation, including patented herbal medicines and scientific developments aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS). Distinguished scientists such as Dr. Sangram from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi, and Dr. Srinivas B of SPSAMCH & RC presented their work on integrative medicine and liver cancer. Dr. Sunil Mishra and Dr. Krishna Dev Srivastav of Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, expressed their intent to collaborate through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for joint cancer research.
This focus on rigorous, evidence-based integration affirms the Trust’s belief that traditional medicine must be positioned not as an alternative, but as a complementary pillar to modern healthcare. This vision aligns with the WHO’s 2023 Global Summit on Traditional Medicine, which emphasized the integration of validated traditional therapies into global health systems.
Advancing AYUSH Through Global Trade and Education
In his role as AYUSH Commissioner of the Asian Arab Chamber of Commerce and the India-GCC Trade Council, Prof. Dr. Srinivasan led a special session on enhancing bilateral trade initiatives to promote AYUSH systems globally. Discussions centred on setting up transnational investment frameworks to support research, distribution, and clinical implementation of integrative medicine, particularly between India and Arab nations.
A major educational announcement was also made: the launch of the International Vanguard Virtual University, Bengaluru, accredited by Kennedy University, Florida, USA. The university will offer a complete academic spectrum—certificate, Diploma, Degree, Postgraduate, and PhD programs—in integrative medical sciences and allied disciplines. Equipped with AI, robotic surgery, and advanced clinical technologies, the university aspires to bridge ancient wisdom with futuristic healthcare, preparing global leaders in disease prevention and holistic management.
Integrated Healthcare: A National and Global Imperative
Addressing current challenges in healthcare and education, Prof. Dr. Srinivasan emphasised the need to harmonise India’s dual heritage of allopathic and traditional medicine. With 62.6% of health expenditures in India still being out-of-pocket, integrative models offer a sustainable and inclusive solution. He also stressed the importance of scientifically validating traditional remedies to build international credibility and acceptance.
He voiced concerns about over reliance on digital tools in education, advocating instead for foundational reforms in teacher training, personalised learning, and value-based education. Referring to UNESCO’s 2023 report, he pointed out that learning outcomes stay inconsistent and context-dependent, despite technological advancements. The Trust’s educational initiatives aim to address these disparities by blending traditional knowledge systems with modern pedagogical methods.
A Global Vision of Unity, Health, and Humanity
The Trust envisions scaling its integrated model internationally through collaborative research, student exchanges, herbal product trade, and setting up global Ayurvedic wellness clinics. With more than twenty bilateral AYUSH agreements signed by the Government of India and growing international interest in natural healing, the Trust’s initiatives are aligned strategically with national and global priorities.
As the event concluded, Prof. Dr. Srinivasan delivered a powerful message:
“We do not merely serve; we transform. From our humble villages to the global stage, we carry the torch of holistic, compassionate service, guided by the wisdom of the ancients and empowered by the tools of the future. May this Centre be not just a place of healing, but a living symbol of unity, health, and humanity.”
With the support of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, the Ministries of AYUSH and Home Affairs, and international patrons, Sri Paripoorna Sanathana Charitable Trust® now stands as a national beacon of integrative excellence, poised to lead a global renaissance in wellness, compassion, and innovation.
