The United Economic Summit 2025, organised by the United Diplomatic Council (UDC) in Klang, unfolded as a convergence of global economic leaders, policymakers, and industry stakeholders. Held at a time when India and the European Union are recalibrating their engagement through renewed investment priorities and technology-driven partnerships, the summit offered a critical platform to further elevate the strategic economic relationship between the two regions.
Delegations representing ASEAN nations, India, Europe, and the wider international business community participated in high-level exchanges throughout the day, creating an environment conducive to new collaborations and investment-led initiatives. The summit also reaffirmed Klang’s growing reputation as a regional centre for economic diplomacy, with leaders from Malaysian state institutions and business associations contributing to the discourse on connectivity, trade facilitation, and regional economic integration.

A significant moment during the proceedings was the formal induction of Kartik Krishna as the Investment Commissioner for the India–EU Trade Council. In his new role, Mr.Kartik Krishna will work to deepen the investment relationship by supporting high-value European investments into India while enabling Indian companies to explore opportunities across Europe’s dynamic markets. His efforts will prioritise sectors such as green technologies, smart mobility, precision manufacturing, space and research cooperation, digital industries, agritech, climate-resilient infrastructure, and emerging innovation clusters.
