What an inspiring and beautifully curated event organized by Ubuntu Consortium on November 19th, 2024 in celebration of International Women Entrepreneurs Day organised under the leadership of Mrs. Ratnaprabha IAS, Former Chief Secretary Govt of Karnataka. The event truly lived up to its tagline: “hashtag#TogetherWeGrow” with participation from various delegates globally.
Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (WED), celebrated annually on November 19, honours women entrepreneurs and their contributions to innovation, economic growth, and community development. This global observance raises awareness about the challenges women face in business, such as gender bias and limited access to funding, while promoting solutions to empower them. WED highlights the transformative role of women in driving social and economic progress. It encourages supporting women-led enterprises, sharing their inspiring stories, and fostering an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem. Through events, mentorship programs, and advocacy, WED inspires collaboration to create opportunities and celebrate the achievements of women entrepreneurs worldwide.
Ubuntu Consortium is a team of committed women entrepreneurs /professionals, together, provide a platform for capacity building and strengthening of women entrepreneur associations so as support the growth of women entrepreneurship. Ubuntu Consortium is a platform for Women Entrepreneurs Associations to expand their businesses. They aim to share ideas, promote Networking, organize Seminars & Webinars, and build a Strong Foundation to take businesses forward.
The Event was graced by the Minister of MSME Govt of Karnataka and the Valedictory function with the participation of Chairman of The BDA Mr. NA Harris and the Chief Secretary of Karnataka Ms. Shalini Rajneesh and Mr. Parul Soni from the Association of Business Women in Commerce & Industry (ABWCI). He is also the Founder and Global Managing Partner of Thinkthrough Consulting, a global consulting firm with offices in six countries.
The Interantional delegation had Ms. Halime Tastan DASBILEK from Turkey, Phoebe David from the Philippines, Shirley Jayawardane from Srilanka,Almas Jiwani from the UN Women in Canada, Mariame Snun from Libya, Ashken Kachatryan and Shogeek from Armenia.
