Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates — The Latin American Caribbean Trade Council (LACTC) hosted a global diplomatic gathering under the theme “Vision 2026: Global Outlook” bringing together senior diplomats, policymakers, and business leaders from over 25 countries to reaffirm a shared commitment to international cooperation, strategic dialogue, and sustainable global development at a time when multilateral engagement holds growing significance.
The conference welcomed distinguished ambassadors from Mozambique and Timor-Leste, alongside institutional representatives from Belarus, Costa Rica, Iraq, Singapore, the Maldives, Papua New Guinea, Belgium, Kazakhstan, Russia, India, the UAE, Syria, Brazil, Colombia, New Zealand, Australia, Iran, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Sierra Leone, France, Botswana, and several other nations—reflecting the truly global character of the dialogue.
A key highlight of the gathering was the appointment of Mr. Badal Saboo as Honorary Trade Commissioner of the Latin American Caribbean Trade Council (LACTC) in the United Arab Emirates. The appointment represents a strategic step toward advancing tri-regional trade cooperation between India, Latin America & the Caribbean (LAC), and the UAE. Mr. Saboo’s extensive experience in cross-border engagement, private-sector leadership, and international collaboration positions him well to advance LACTC’s trade and investment objectives across these regions.
Mr. Saboo is a seasoned entrepreneur and strategist with a diversified portfolio spanning business development, cultural advocacy, and global partnerships. As the founder of the Badal Saboo Group, his work spans commodities, real estate advisory, fashion, art, and lifestyle sectors, with a strong emphasis on value creation and long-term relationship building. His role in establishing platforms such as Pune Fashion Week, along with his involvement in international advisory initiatives, reflects his ability to bridge enterprise, culture, and global commerce—qualities that make him a strong fit for this role.
