In a significant step towards strengthening India–European Union cooperation in education, trade, and policy engagement, the India EU Trade Council and IILM University have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote academic collaboration, research, and capacity building in the field of international trade and sustainability.
The MoU was facilitated under the leadership of Ankit Jain, Honorary Trade Commissioner, India-EU Trade Council, with the objective of creating a strong bridge between academia and global trade institutions.
Under the agreement, both institutions will collaborate on joint research initiatives, policy studies, academic programs, executive education, and knowledge-sharing platforms focused on India-EU trade relations, global commerce, sustainability, ESG frameworks, and emerging economic opportunities.
The partnership will also enable internships, live projects, expert lectures, conferences, and industry interactions for students and professionals.
Speaking on the occasion, Ankit Jain highlighted that the collaboration reflects a shared vision to develop future-ready talent equipped with practical exposure to international trade, policy formulation, and economic diplomacy.
He emphasized that academic institutions play a critical role in shaping informed policy discourse and strengthening bilateral and multilateral trade engagement.
The MoU is expected to enhance academic excellence, promote research-driven policy inputs, and contribute meaningfully to India-EU economic cooperation. Both institutions expressed confidence that this partnership will create long-term value by nurturing skilled professionals and supporting sustainable global trade practices.
