Dubai, 24 September 2026:
The Eurasian Balkan Business Forum was successfully held in Dubai, bringing together distinguished diplomats, business leaders, investors and institutional representatives to promote economic cooperation between the Gulf, Eurasian and Balkan regions.

The forum provided a strategic platform for discussions on international trade, investment opportunities, regional connectivity and private-sector partnerships. Participants highlighted Dubai’s growing importance as a global centre connecting emerging markets across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

The discussions focused on strengthening institutional and business linkages, facilitating cross-border investment, promoting innovation and developing commercially viable partnerships among participating countries.
A notable international participant was Mr. Santhosh Kumar, Trade Commissioner of the India ASEAN Trade Council, who engaged with diplomats and business representatives during the forum. He invited participating delegates to visit Indonesia and attend an international business conference scheduled for October 2026.

The forum also received appreciation from Dr. Asif Iqbal, President of the United Diplomatic Council, who emphasised the importance of sustained diplomatic and commercial engagement.

The Eurasian Balkan Business Forum concluded with a renewed commitment to deepen cross-regional cooperation and maintain continued engagement among diplomatic institutions, chambers of commerce, investment organisations and business communities. The proposed follow-up interaction in Indonesia is expected to further expand these discussions and strengthen commercial engagement with the ASEAN region.
