IETO President Dr. Asif Iqbal held a meeting with Mr Murat Seitnepesov, Chairman of Caspian Week and the partner of the Horasis Global Vision community. Discussions revolved around the participation of the IETO delegation in the COP 29 in Baku Azerbaijan. Also discussions revolved around unlocking investment opportunities in the Greater Caspian Region and spearheading Shared Leadership and also preparing for a New Pandemic: Global System for Preparedness for Disease X and to work together in Competition and Cooperation: The Global Promise of a Technology Olympics.

Murat Seitnepesov mentioned several success stories in attracting foreign investors into the region. In a little more than four years Uzbekistan started to open, cancelled visas for almost 100 countries, and now this country is really going forward with economic reforms. The second good example is Azerbaijan where a “single window” concept called “ASAN service” was created where registration of everything related to the business could be done just in several hours. Several industrial zones were also created in Azerbaijan where industrial production can be done with moderate taxes or even with tax exemptions. Another illustration is the Asana International Financial Centre in Kazakhstan which introduced English law and English arbitration into the legal system. Investors feel safe, because they are working as per English law which is an internationally recognized legal system.
Since 2008, Murat Seitnepesov is the Managing Director and Chairman of the Board of the Integral Group of Companies (Switzerland, Great Britain, UAE, Russia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan). The Integral Group’s main business areas are Commodities Trading & Logistics, with start-ups and ongoing projects in the field of Digital Technologies (AI, DM&ML, IOT, Blockchain) and Optimization and their applications in Trading & Logistics, Healthcare and Retail businesses.
For a brief period while receiving his University education, Murat Seitnepesov engaged in scientific studies as a Research Fellow in the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Siberian Branch of the Academy of Sciences of Russia. Upon completing his University degree, Murat pursued a career in banking as the Leading Specialist in the Central Bank of Turkmenistan and then Head of International Operations Division in the State Agricultural Bank of Turkmenistan. After that, he fully immersed himself in the areas of trading and logistics – as Managing Director of Militzer & Muench Turkmenistan Ltd and Chairman of the Board of Emex Turkmenistan Ltd. With ten years of hands-on and comprehensive experience in trading and logistics, Murat Seitnepesov moved his business operations to Geneva, Switzerland where he founded Integral Petroleum SA, company dedicated for development of the oil and petroleum products exports and logistics from the Caspian Region. For the next 12 years he has successfully developed his business into a Group of Companies which established itself as a reliable and socially responsible regional and global player.
It will be a promising collaboration for the IETO and the Caspian week in the region for partnerships.
